Bj Las Poñas

Philosophy, architecture and modernism

Born in 1973 in San Francisco, BJ Las Ponas is a fine art sculptor working in cast bronze and direct metal sculpture. He studied under Ellen Lowenstein and established a strong, distinctly personal style.

Much of his influence came from the likes of Henri Moore, Alberto Giacometti, Seymour Linpton, Ibram Lassaw, Alicia Penalba and Barbara Hepworth. In an incredibly short amount of time, his surprisingly immense and diverse sculpturals combine Eastern and Western philosophy, architecture and modernism.
