Electros

New vision for the future

Description

Born in 1950 in Greece and based in USA since 1979, Electros is a contemporary electronic artist who studied sculpture, painting, drawings and 19th and 20th century Art History at the New York Studio School.

He has always been passionate about science and technology. He is convinced that art allows rediscovering humanness. To his opinion, contemporary art must be relevant in order to reconstruct of a new vision for the future. Electros does his art work by embedding technology, with its abstract aesthetics, in the archetypal dramas of Greek mythology, so that his machines becomes grand personages re-enacting the mythologized human drama in modernist terms.

His art has been widely exhibited all over the world, such as the Queens Museum of New York in USA, the State Museum of contemporary Art in Greece, the Museum del Chopo in Mexico.
